CHARGED COMBUSTION ENGINE AND CORRESPONDING OPERATING METHOD
DRIVE
May 4, 2016
The present invention relates to a supercharged internal combustion engine (2), preferably of a vehicle (1), with a refrigeration circuit (9) as well as a fresh air system (3) for supplying the internal combustion engine (2) with fresh air. Increased safety of the cooling system (8) is achieved in that an intermediate circuit (18) is provided, in which an intermediate medium circulates and in which a first evaporator (15) of the refrigeration circuit (9) as well as a first charge air cooler (17) of the fresh air system (3) are integrated, wherein the intermediate circuit (18) is fluidically separated from the fresh air system (3) as well as from the refrigeration circuit (9). Increased efficiency of the cooling system (8) is furthermore achieved in that a refrigeration circuit compressor (10) for driving a refrigerant in the refrigeration circuit (9) is driven by a coasting power of the associated vehicle (1) during coasting phases of the vehicle. The invention furthermore relates to such a vehicle (1).
