A vehicle (10.2) for transporting at least one passenger car (12) has a closed box body (14.2) and a platform (20.2) which is located in its transport position within the box body (14.2). From this transport position, the platform (20.2) can be brought into a loading position in which the rear end (26) of the platform (20.2) rests on the roadway (28) and the front end (30.2) of the platform (20.2) is secured in the region of the rear loading opening of the box body (14.2). The front end (30.2) of the platform (20.2) can be lowered approximately vertically by at least one lifting element (32.2) so that the front end (30.2) of the platform (20.2) also rests on the roadway (28).
