The invention has as its object in particular a device (10) for securing a wiper blade (12) and a wiper blade support (14) constituting a windshield wiper, said device (10) comprising a first part (20) able to be fixed to said support (14) and a second part (22) able to be fixed to said blade, said first (20) and second (22) parts being connected by a removable linking means (52, 54, 56), said second part (22) comprising an insertion groove (26), in translation according to a first direction, of a complementary part (18) of said blade (12), said device (10) comprising a blocking means, in translation according to said first direction, of said blade in said groove, characterized in that said blocking means comprises at least one blocking element (28) mounted sliding on said second part (22), in translation substantially perpendicular to said first direction, between a retracted position authorizing the displacement of said complementary part (18) of the blade in said groove (26) and a blocking position in translation of said complementary part (18) of the blade in said groove (26).
