Vehicle pneumatic tire in radial construction with a two-ply belt (3) having steel cords running parallel to one another in each belt ply (3a, 3b), wherein the steel cords in one belt ply (3a) cross the steel cords in the other belt ply (3b), and with a belt bandage (4) made of at least two yarns twisted together, wherein at least one yarn is a high-modulus yarn with a specific yarn fineness and wherein a further yarn is a low-modulus yarn with a lower yarn fineness than that of the first yarn. The steel cords in the two belt plies (3a, 3b) run at angles of 32° ± 3° to the circumferential direction, wherein the hybrid cord in the belt bandage (4) consists of two high-modulus yarns twisted together and a low-modulus yarn twisted together with this.
