The invention concerns a system for controlling shock absorbers (22, 23, 24, 25) of a suspension of a motor vehicle (9) comprising a roll prediction block (10) and a control calculation block (30). The roll prediction block (10) receives the longitudinal speed and the steering wheel rotation speed at a time t0 then calculates a roll movement at a time t1 as a function of the longitudinal speed and the steering wheel rotation speed. The control calculation block (30) deduces a command value for the shock absorbers as a function of the estimated roll movement and as a function of a pre-established map. The control calculation block (30) receives the residues of roll movements at the time t1 and deduces a setpoint for time decay of the command value.
