The present invention relates to a device for producing electrical energy (10a) from an air flow (12a-12b) captured by any suitable part of a motor vehicle (15) comprising at least one turbine (16a-16b) positioned in a rear part of the vehicle (15), and at least one means for channeling (20a-20b) the air flow onto the at least one turbine (16a-16b), the device comprising two main turbines (16a-16b) positioned symmetrically with respect to a median axis (X), said median axis (X) dividing the space concerned into two substantially equal parts in the width direction, the device comprising a means for dividing the air flow into several parts (12a-12b), said means for division being arranged at a front end of the vehicle (15), each part of the space occupied by the device comprising a means for channeling (20a-20b) a part (12a-12b) of the air flow towards an extraction means (35).
