The invention relates to a vehicle, in particular a commercial vehicle, with a camera-monitor system (6) as a mirror replacement system, with at least one camera (8) which is directed rearward on both sides or on one side on the outside of the vehicle (1), in particular in the front, upper corner region of a driver's cab (5) of a commercial vehicle (1), and is fastened by means of a camera holder (9). According to the invention, the camera holder (9) has a controllable adjusting device (10) with which the rearward-directed camera (8) can be displaced in a situation-dependent manner into various distance positions with respect to the vehicle (5). The invention furthermore relates to a method for actuating such a camera-monitor system.
