The invention relates to an electromagnetically actuable high-pressure gas valve (1) configured as a pilot control valve with a pilot seat (3) and a pilot opening (5) and a main seat (7) and a main opening (9), wherein the pilot opening (5) connects a high-pressure side (H) with a low-pressure side (N) of the valve (1) and is closable by a pilot sealing element (6), the main opening (9) connects the high-pressure side (H) with the low-pressure side (N) of the valve (1) and is closable by a main sealing element (10), and - the valve (1) has a pilot armature (4) that acts on the pilot sealing element (6), and - a main armature (8) that acts on the main sealing element (10), wherein the valve (1) has an energizable coil (12) which is suitably designed and arranged to act on the pilot armature (4) and the main armature (8) such that a pilot stroke, in which only the pilot armature (4) is moved, and a main stroke, in which at least the main armature (8) is moved, are independent of one another.
