The invention relates to a method for manufacturing a suspension control arm (1) which has a single-walled basic body (2) formed from a sheet metal blank, on which bearing areas (5.1, 5.2, 5.3) are formed for connecting bearing elements, by means of which the basic body (2) can be connected to a body part or axle carrier and a movable part of a wheel suspension of a motor vehicle, wherein the bearing areas comprise a wheel-side bearing area (5.1) and two body- or axle carrier-side bearing areas (5.2, 5.3), wherein the basic body (2) has two arms (2.1, 2.2) that merge into one another and which define a basic body plane (3) and a concave-shaped edge region (4) of the basic body, wherein the concave-shaped edge region (4) extends from the wheel-side bearing area (5.1) to a first (5.3) of the two body- or axle carrier-side bearing areas (5.3) and is angled relative to the basic body plane (3), wherein the second body- or axle carrier-side bearing area (5.2) is formed in the shape of a projection (5.21) and is provided with a bush (6), and wherein the projection (5.21) and the arm (2.2) which has the first body- or axle carrier-side bearing area (5.3) define an indentation (12), along which the basic body (2) is angled relative to the basic body plane (3), in which the sheet metal blank is formed by deep drawing, wherein the deep drawing includes a pre-drawing, in which the indentation (12) is created, and in which the indentation (12) is trimmed and after trimming of the indentation (12) the bush (6) is attached to the projection (5.21). According to the invention, the sheet metal blank is pre-drawn such that the indentation (12) receives a radius (R3) which follows the bush (6) to be connected, so that after trimming of the indentation (12) no further forming in the indentation (12) is required. This avoids critical forming degrees and/or critical edge stresses, which can lead to crack formation.
