The invention relates to a pedal force simulation device with an input element displaceable against the restoring force of an energy storage device, with an element having variable contour, wherein the element is connected to the input element, wherein arms are supported on the variable contour in order to exert an additional force on the input element, wherein the element with variable contour has a wear compensation device which, upon wear, adjusts the outer contour of the element with variable contour in the direction toward the arms.
