Hybrid drive unit
DRIVE
September 2, 2015
A hybrid drive unit comprises a manually operable selector element which is designed for changing gears of a manual transmission interacting with an internal combustion engine and for activating an electric motor provided as a drive motor. There are two different neutral positions of the selector element, each of which corresponds to an idle position of the manual transmission, wherein from a first neutral position—as with a conventional manual transmission—the gears of the manual transmission can be changed and in a second neutral position exclusively the electric motor can be activated as a drive. To change the selector element between the first neutral position and the second neutral position, overcoming a locking mechanism is required, which is optionally coupled with a clutch actuation mechanism.
