Ceiling trim adapted for airbag deployment

The invention relates to a roof panel trim (8) of a motor vehicle, comprising a panel (22) intended to conform to the inner face of the roof, said panel comprising: a front central opening (24) for fastening a control console; a connecting strip (30) transversely between two portions (26, 28) of the panel (22) lateral to the opening (24), said strip (30) being in front of the opening (24). The connecting strip (30) comprises a pre-cut section (32) configured to rupture in the event of deployment towards the windshield (4) of an airbag housed at one of the lateral portions (26) between the trim (8) and the roof. The invention also relates to a motor vehicle comprising such a trim (8) as well as to the method for shaping the trim (8).
