The present invention relates to a device for charging at least one electric vehicle, comprising at least one first electrical connection element, designed and configured to connect the device to an electrical grid, and at least one second and/or at least one third electrical connection element, designed and configured to connect the device to at least one electric vehicle, wherein at least one control device is comprised, which is designed and configured to measure, during a charging process, measured values representative of the voltage and/or the temperature of at least one accumulator of at least one electric vehicle that can be connected or is connected to the at least one second and/or third connection element and/or to receive threshold values for the charging current and/or the charging voltage from the at least one electric vehicle and/or to detect threshold values provided by means of at least one input device, and to control or regulate the individual charging voltage and/or the individual charging current at each of the second and/or third connection elements in dependence on the detected measured values, the detected threshold values and/or the provided threshold values, wherein the sum of the charging currents of the second and/or third connection elements is less than or equal to a predetermined maximum value.
