A valve for metering fluid is provided, which comprises a valve needle (14) with a closing head (15) guided in a valve seat body (11) and an anchor (22) of an electromagnet (17) axially displaceable on the valve needle (14) with inner and outer poles (18, 19) for actuating the valve needle (14), as well as a device for generating an anchor pre-lift comprising an anchor stop (38) fixedly arranged on the valve needle (14) and a pre-lift spring (39) acting on the anchor (22) in the direction of the anchor stop (38). In order to achieve a short structural length of the valve and tilt-free guidance of the anchor (22) on the valve needle (14), the anchor (22) is subdivided into an anchor guide disk (221) axially guided in a non-magnetic separation region (20) between inner and outer poles (18, 19) and fixedly connected to the valve needle (14), and an anchor ring (222) arranged between the anchor guide disk (221) and the anchor stop (38) and freely movable on the valve needle (14). The anchor ring (222) has a first and second ring section (222a, 222b). With the first ring section (222a), the anchor ring (222) is axially guided and displaceable on the valve needle (14), and in the second ring section (222b) the pre-lift spring (39) seated on the valve needle (14) is arranged, which is axially supported on the anchor ring (222) and the anchor guide disk (221).
