Provided is a hybrid vehicle drive control device that suppresses the occurrence of a trouble such as a starting shock by adjusting a crank position when starting an engine. The drive control device is equipped with a clutch (CL) that connects/disconnects the carrier (C1) of a first planetary gear train (14) and the carrier (C2) of a second planetary gear train (16) and a brake (BK) that connects/disconnects said carrier (C2) to/from a housing (26), and the drive control device adjusts the crank position of the engine (12) by means of at least a first electric motor (MG1) or a second electric motor (MG2) according to a vehicular condition. Consequently, when a relatively large torque is required for cranking, the crank position of the engine (12) can be properly adjusted by using the first electric motor (MG1) and the second electric motor (MG2) in combination.
