DRIVE CONTROL DEVICE FOR A HYBRID VEHICLE

Disclosed is a drive control device for a hybrid vehicle wherein starting can be achieved in accordance with the mode of vehicle running requested by the driver. In order to prioritise vehicle acceleration when power mode is selected by a PWR mode switch (55), starting can be achieved by operation of a first electric motor (MG1) and a second electric motor (MG2) by electric motor running so as to generate drive force, or by internal combustion engine running. Alternatively, in order to prioritise fuel economy, when eco-mode is selected by an eco-mode switch (54), starting can be achieved by electric motor running so as to generate drive force, by operation using either the first electric motor (MG1) or the second electric motor (MG2), or by internal combustion engine running. In this way, starting can be performed in accordance with the running mode requested by the driver, by operation of the eco-mode switch (54) or the PWR mode switch (55) by the driver.
