The present invention relates to a motor vehicle component (1) with a functional element (2) made of a first polymeric material (3) and with at least one fastening element (4) connected to the functional element (2) made of a second polymeric material (5), wherein the second polymeric material (5) comprises metallic detection elements (6) which enable detection of the fastening element (4) and/or of parts of the fastening element (4). The invention further relates to a method for manufacturing a motor vehicle component (1).
