FUEL INJECTOR

Fuel injector (1) for injecting fuel into a combustion chamber of an internal combustion engine with a nozzle body (2), a nozzle needle (3), a holding body (12), and an electromagnetic coil (20). The holding body (12) is clamped together with the nozzle body (2). A pressure chamber (6) is formed in the nozzle body (2), in which the nozzle needle (3) is arranged so as to be longitudinally displaceable, wherein the nozzle needle (3) by its longitudinal movement cooperates with a nozzle needle seat (7) and thereby opens and closes at least one injection opening (8) into the combustion chamber. The coil (20) is arranged at least partially radially surrounding the nozzle needle (3), wherein the coil (20) is electrically conductively connected with at least one contact pin (21). The at least one contact pin (21) is arranged in a holding body recess (24a) formed in the holding body (12), preferably a bore or a groove.
