An operator assistance system (64) for an agricultural work machine (10) that has at least one variable operating parameter which influences multiple, different result parameters of the work result of the work machine (10) is equipped with an input device (72), a processor (68), and a display device (66). The processor (68) is programmed to obtain, via the input device (72), an input of a selectable result parameter of the work result to be optimized for a work operation to be performed, to calculate an optimized operating parameter based on the input, and to output on the display device (66) an expected value associated with the optimized operating parameter for the work result of the work machine (10) for the work operation.
