The invention relates to a chock wedge for placement under a commercial vehicle wheel as a safety stand, with a base body (2) as well as signaling means (11) designed to transmit a positioning signal to receiving means that are spaced apart from and separate from the chock wedge (1). According to the invention, it is provided that the chock wedge (1) has drive means (5) which are adjustable relative to the base body (2) by placement under the commercial vehicle wheel and which drive energy conversion means (9) assigned to the signaling means (11), preferably arranged in and/or on the base body, which are designed and arranged to convert kinetic energy of the drive means (5) into electrical energy for powering the signaling means (11), and that the signaling means (11) are designed for wireless, in particular radio-based, transmission of the positioning signal.
