The invention relates to a device (1) for displaying an operating strategy of an electric or hybrid vehicle, comprising an evaluation unit (2) which is designed to determine an operating strategy at least depending on parameters of a specified driving route, and at least one display unit (3) on which the specified driving route is displayed, wherein sections of the driving route are graphically and/or alphanumerically assigned the respective operating mode, wherein in addition to the respective operating mode a graphical and/or alphanumerical element (11) is displayed which explains the selection of the operating mode, as well as an associated method.
