The invention relates to a method for operating a vehicle, in particular a motor vehicle, which has at least one display device (2) for visually or acoustically displaying at least one function of the vehicle selectable by a user, with the following steps: - detecting a plurality of functions selected by the user, - detecting a current driving situation of the vehicle present at the time of selection of the respective function, - storing the detected and selected functions depending on the respective driving situation, - determining a relationship between at least one driving situation and the stored and selected functions, - displaying the at least one selectable function depending on the current driving situation and the determined relationship.
