A motor control device of a vehicle provided with a motor and a lock mechanism (11) for locking the rotation of vehicle wheels; wherein the motor control device comprises detection means for detecting that the lock mechanism (11) will be released, damping control means for suppressing torsional vibration of a drive shaft, and current control means for controlling current flowing to the motor on the basis of a motor torque command value set by the damping control means; and the current control means channels an excitation current for generating a magnetic flux in the motor on the basis of the detection result of the detection means.
