The invention relates to a positioning device for a combiner disk (14) of a head-up display that is pivotable about a pivot axis (30), comprising a reversible rotary drive, of which a rotating element (5) is rotatably drivable about a rotation axis (6), by means of which the combiner disk (14) is drivable between a rest position in a housing and a working position projecting from an opening (13) of the housing. The opening (13) of the housing is closable by a cover (12), which is drivable by the rotating element (5) to move ahead of a movement of the combiner disk (14) from the rest position to the working position from a closure position closing the opening (13) to an open position releasing the opening (13), and to move from its open position to lag behind a movement of the combiner disk (14) from the working position to the rest position back into its closure position.
