A result of the detection of each of a vehicle speed sensor, an engine rotation angle sensor, a throttle opening sensor, a stroke sensor, a brake sensor, an acceleration sensor and a tilt angle sensor is supplied to a CPU. The CPU calculates longitudinal force, transverse force and up-and-down force as wheel force (tyre force) exerted between a front wheel and a road surface, and between a rear wheel and the road surface based on the result of the detection of each of these. The transverse force and the up-and-down force that are calculated are corrected based on a condition of a load including at least a rider.
