The invention relates to an inner loader, in particular for the transport of large-area or large-volume cargo. Such inner loaders are used in particular for the transport of flat glass or precast concrete parts, but also pallets and other cargo. The inner loader comprises two vehicle longitudinal beams (4, 4') arranged parallel to one another, to which axle support brackets with air-sprung independent wheel swings for receiving wheels are fastened, and a lifting swing (1) which is movably mounted with bolt receptacles and is hydraulically or pneumatically operated for receiving a fifth wheel plate (6) which carries a kingpin (7) for connection to a tractor unit. The necessary ground clearance on such an inner loader is as a rule adjustable via the air springs of the independent wheel swings and the hydraulic or pneumatic lifting swing. A disadvantage of this is that the lifting swing has a not inconsiderable weight, whereby the permissible load capacity of the inner loader is reduced. The invention is based on the object of providing an inner loader of the aforementioned type in which the permissible load capacity is increased and the force introduction is improved, so that the forces occurring can flow better than with the known lifting swings. For this purpose, it is proposed that the lifting swing (1) is formed from two lifting swing arms (5, 5') which converge towards one another at an acute angle in the direction of the fifth wheel plate (6).
