MOTOR VEHICLE AXLE WITH VIRTUAL STEERING AXLE
DRIVE
December 9, 2015
The present invention relates to a motor vehicle axle (1), in particular a composite link axle, which is formed from a torsion profile (2) with longitudinal swings (3) attached to it. According to the invention, a wheel suspension (5) is mounted at the ends (4) of the longitudinal swings (3), which is passively rotated through compression and/or extension of the wheel about a virtual steering axis. According to the invention, a toe-in position thus takes place in each case, so that critical driving situations are largely avoided.
