A convertible roof (1) for a convertible vehicle is proposed, which is displaceable between a position covering the passenger compartment at least partially and a position at least partially exposing the passenger compartment, and which has a rear roof element (31) that is movable at least partially independently of other roof elements, which is displaceable between a closed position and a position moved at least partially upward relative to the closed position. A separate lever mechanism (35) is provided for displacing the rear roof element (31) between its closed position and its upwardly moved position, by means of which the rear roof element (31) can be connected directly to the body structure.
