Soft top for a convertible

A soft-top convertible top (1) of a convertible vehicle is proposed with a flexible convertible top cover (3), which is displaceable by means of a convertible top linkage (7) between a closed position covering a passenger compartment (5) and an open position at least partially exposing the passenger compartment (5), with several roof elements (13, 15, 17) arranged in the closed convertible top position behind a roof apex (9), spanning approximately the full width of the convertible top (1), and lateral roof frame elements (23, 25, 27, 29) arranged in the closed convertible top position respectively on the sides next to the roof elements (9, 13, 15, 17). To move the convertible top (1) between the closed and open position, a main steering system (31) of the convertible top linkage (7) is connected to a lateral roof frame element (23, 25, 27, 29) or a roof element (13, 15, 17), and the roof apex (9) cooperates with the main steering system (31) by means of a plurality of links (49, 51, 53, 55, 57, 61, 63, 65, 67) of the convertible top linkage (7). At least two roof elements (13, 15) are rigidly connected to respectively one link (61, 67) of the convertible top linkage (7), which respectively are required for implementing a movement of another roof element (9, 13, 15, 17) or lateral roof frame element (23, 25, 27, 29).
