ELECTRIC DISC BRAKE DEVICE

DRIVE June 3, 2015
Source
An electric actuator pushes the piston (11a) out towards the rotor. The electric actuator comprises a reduction gear (10a), a ball reduction gear (19), and a feed screw device (12a). A compression coil spring (43) applies a pre-load on each ball (24) that configures the ball reduction gear (19) and provides resistance to the functioning of the ball reduction gear (19). Immediately after initiating braking, said ball reduction gear (19) is not actuated.
