Suspension actuator
DRIVE
May 30, 2012
The actuator (1) comprises two different actuator components (3,4). The actuator components comprise a ball screw drive (7) having a threaded spindle (8). An electric motor is coaxially coupled with a rotor (15) and a stator (14) for axial adjustment of threaded spindle. The axially spaced-apart bearings (17,18) are rotatably mounted on rotor via a nut (11). An external chassis-twisting side power actuated brake is arranged to counteract the friction generated during rotation of the rotor with respect to the nut.
