The invention relates to a component (1), in particular for a motor vehicle, comprising a body (2) based on molded thermoplastic material, said body being provided on its surface with a metallic medallion (3), said medallion being provided, on all or part of its reverse face, with a reverse layer (4) made of porous material which is associated therewith by adhesive bonding, said layer being furthermore overmolded by said body in such a manner as to achieve mechanical engagement between said layer and said body.
