Reverse driving assistance device

Proposed is a backing-aid device for a vehicle equipped with a flat loading surface, in particular for a commercial vehicle trailer or semi-trailer, with distance sensing means arranged at the vehicle rear and an evaluation unit for processing the electrical signals supplied by the distance sensing means. In order to create a backing-aid device enabling point-precise reverse positioning, with which the remaining distance to a loading ramp can be precisely determined over a large distance range, the distance sensing means consists of a non-contact distance sensor (10) and at least one near-range sensor (11) sensitized to mechanical contact, whereby the evaluation unit is designed to process electrical signals from both the distance sensor (10) and the near-range sensor (11).
