The component assembly has at least one retaining element for the direct or indirect connection of at least two components to a load-bearing vehicle structure, wherein the retaining element has a recess. The first component has at least one mounting aid inserted into the recess. The second component has at least one external projection facing the retaining element, which is mounted in the same recess of the retaining element in the mounted state.
