A battery identification apparatus according to an embodiment disclosed herein includes a communication circuit configured to obtain charging data including a voltage value and a capacity of one or more batteries, and a processor configured to extract, from the charging data, reference charging data in which the capacity corresponds to a reference capacity condition and identify the battery based on the reference charging data and a battery manufacturer identification condition.
