The invention relates to a vehicle seat (1) having a seat part (5) extending in the vehicle longitudinal direction (X) and in the vehicle lateral direction (Y), as well as a backrest part (6) and a seat base structure (9) for springing and/or damping at least the seat part (5) relative to a body (10) of a vehicle (2), wherein the seat base structure (9) comprises at least one horizontal suspension device (15) with a first suspension part (16), with a further suspension part (17) that is displaceable relative thereto, and with a deformable fluid suspension element (18) for springing the seat part (5) relative to the body (10) in the vehicle longitudinal direction (X) and/or in the vehicle lateral direction (Y), wherein the deformable fluid suspension element (18) is arranged with a first connection point (20) on the first suspension part (16) and with a further connection point (22) on the further suspension part (17), wherein the deformable fluid suspension element (18) is arranged between the two suspension parts (16, 17) such that, upon relative movement of the two suspension parts (16, 17) relative to one another, it is deformed exclusively by these two suspension parts (16, 17).
