A winding device (1) in the vehicle cargo space has a winding housing (2), by means of which it is connected to the load rail (100) arranged on the longitudinal side of the vehicle cargo space. From the housing of the winding device (1), a strap band (90) can be unwound, the end of which in the form of a handle (3) with a base (5) can be fastened to the load rail (101) arranged on the other longitudinal side of the vehicle cargo space. The winding device (1) has a handle (3) fastened to the end of the strap band (90) with a push button (4), by means of which the fixing of the handle (3) in the load rail (101) is actuated, furthermore an actuation button (6) for locking the winding device (1) in the load rail (100) and a pivotable rosette (7) for actuating the actuation mechanism for unwinding the strap band (90).
