Provided is a method of changing a setting value of a battery pack (100) provided in a set (200), the method including obtaining, by a battery management system, BMS, (110) of the battery pack (100), a first authentication key from the set (200), authenticating, by the BMS (110), the set (200) based on the first authentication key, and changing, by the BMS (110), a setting value for an operation of the battery pack (100) with a value based on whether the set (200) is authenticated.
