The invention relates to a plate assembly (10) intended to be fitted in an opening of a body structure of a railway vehicle, the assembly (10) comprising a plate (30) made of a transparent or translucent material having two faces (34, 35), a first fastening element (38), an adhesive layer (40) ensuring the bonding of the first fastening element (38) to the plate (30), and at least one second fastening element (42) cooperating with the first fastening element (38), each second fastening element (42) being able to be connected to the structure (12). The assembly (10) is characterized in that each second fastening element (42) is arranged facing the adhesive layer (40) according to a direction normal to a face (34, 35) of the plate (30).
