Power plant and method for generating electric power
DRIVE

The power plant (100) has a reformer unit (1) in which energy carrier i.e. natural gas, is converted into combustion fluid i.e. synthesis gas, by supplying heat. The unit has a reformer burning device for supplying heat to the unit. A burner unit (30) generates thermal energy by burning the combustion fluid, and a turbine unit (50) generates rotational movement with the thermal energy. A generator unit (60) is driven by rotational movement to generate electrical power. An electrical heating unit additionally provides heat to the burning device for converting electrical power to heat energy. An independent claim is also included for a method for generating electric power.
