Combined heat and power plant with integrated power storage system

The block type combined heat and power plant (1) has an aggregate (2) for generating electrical energy and thermal energy, a regulating unit (5) or control unit, and a housing (14), where an electrical storage device (4) and an inverter (16) are arranged inside the housing. A heat-insulating partition wall (17) is arranged between a cogeneration aggregate space (27), in which the aggregate for generating electrical and thermal energy is located, and a battery compartment (26), in which the electrical storage device is located. The battery compartment has an opening (18) for installation space. An independent claim is included for a method for operating a block type combined heat and power plant.
