Electrode-fixed electrolyte composite for batteries and its manufacture

The method involves providing an electrolyte composition comprising water, polyvinyl alcohol, electrolyte salt and/or alkali metal hydroxide, electrically non-conducting particles and/or fibers of water-insoluble organic and/or inorganic solids and styrene-butadiene rubber. The styrene-butadiene rubber is provided in a proportion of 2-15, 4-10, 5-8 wt. %. The polyvinyl alcohol is provided in a proportion of 5-30, 8-20, 10-14 wt. %. The electrically non-conducting particles and/or fibers comprise a solid ceramic material, salt, glass, basalt and/or carbon.
