PNEUMATIC TIRE BASED ON A SILICA/STYRENE BUTADIENE RUBBER COMPOSITE BODY AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING SAME

The present invention aims to provide a silica/styrene butadiene rubber composite containing finely dispersed silica, and a method of producing the composite. The present invention also aims to provide a rubber composition and a pneumatic tire each containing the composite. The present invention relates to a silica/styrene butadiene rubber composite obtained from a compounded latex, the compounded latex being prepared by mixing a surfactant with a dispersion of finely divided silica having an average particle size of 1 µm or smaller to obtain a mixture, and then mixing the mixture with emulsion polymerized styrene-butadiene rubber latex.
