Method and device for operating a diesel engine with emulsion fuels of variable composition
DRIVE
September 3, 2014
The method involves changing water content of water-diesel fuel emulsion depending on a diesel engine operating point. The diesel fuel and water of specific ratio given by operating point are premixed in a primary channel. The variable flow-mechanical pressure given by a diesel fuel storage unit is supplied to a rail. The water-diesel mixture of primary channel is sucked into first pumping chamber while returning back the water-diesel mixture from second pumping chamber to primary channel. An independent claim is included for an emulsifying device for producing water diesel fuel emulsion for diesel engine.
