Wheel suspension for a wheel of an axle of a motor vehicle

The suspension (10) has a wheel carrier (14) stored over five wheel control elements (16) that are hinged at an auxiliary frame. The wheel control elements are secured at a carrier side of the wheel carrier and a frame side of the auxiliary frame by an auxiliary frame bearing (18) i.e. rubber-metal bearing. The auxiliary frame is elastically supported on a motor car structure through the auxiliary frame bearing. The rubber-metal bearing is pre-tensioned such that the rubber-metal bearing comprises a ball-and-socket joint corresponding to radial rigidity.
