Symmetries of capacitor voltages in series-connected capacitors
DRIVE
July 30, 2014
The arrangement has electrical conducting elements (38, 40) between which intermediate circuit voltage (Uzk) lies. Capacitors (46, 48) are connected to a series circuit (50). A balancing circuit (60) balances capacitor voltages (Ucl, Uc2). The balancing circuit has a transformer (64) with a primary coil (84) and secondary coils (68, 70). The conducting elements are connected with one another over the primary coil and a controllable switching element (88). Coil terminals (72, 74, 78, 80) of the secondary coils are connected with terminals (52, 54, 56, 58) of the capacitors, respectively. The switching element is designed as a transistor i.e. FET. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a frequency converter (2) a method for balancing capacitor voltages.
