Method for balancing of capacitor voltages in a link circuit

The device has two electrical conducting elements (38,40) that are laid between the voltages of the intermediate circuit (28). The two capacitors (46,48) and electrical conducting elements are connected in series, so that the capacitor voltages (Uc1,Uc2) add up to the intermediate circuit voltage. A balun (60) is provided with the two coils (68,70). The connector is provided for connecting capacitor and the coil terminals (74,80). The coils are interconnected through a transformer core (66). Independent claims are included for the following: (1) frequency converter; and (2) method for equalizing capacitor voltages in series circuit of capacitor.
