Valve for metering fluid

The valve has a valve body (12) comprising a dosing opening (14) and a conically tapered valve seat with a seat surface (15). A valve unit (16) is provided for opening and closing the dosing opening, and comprises a closing head (20) that forms a sealing seat at the seat surface over a spherical closing head area. The seat surface has an arc-shaped embossing contour with a contour radius that is larger than ball radius of the closing head area at the closing head. The valve unit is loaded by a valve closing spring (17) that acts in a valve closing direction. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing a valve seat in a valve seat body.
