The injector has a nozzle needle (1) liftably guided in a high pressure hole (2) of a nozzle body (3) for opening and closing an injection opening (4). The nozzle needle is pressurized toward a sealing seat (5) by a spring force of a closing spring. An end of the nozzle needle facing away from the sealing seat limits a control space and comprises a magnetic valve (8) for relief of the control space. The magnetic valve comprises a solenoid plunger, which acts as a valve closing element and comprises an annular sealing or seal surface co-acting with a flat seat.
