Boat with high voltage system

The boat has an electric drive having electric components (2), particularly an electric motor and an electric storage unit (1). The components are interconnected via an electric grid. A connection unit (10) includes connection unit main contacts (3,4,5,6) for connecting one component to the grid, where another connection unit (7) connects the electric storage unit to or disconnecting it from the grid. The former connection unit has a pair of auxiliary contacts (15,16,17,18) for connecting one component to a monitoring line, which is operatively connected to the latter connection unit. An independent claim is included for a method for connecting an electrical component to an electrical storage having an electrical line network on a boat.
